Executive – Human Resources (Compensation & Benefits)

About the Company:

Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka & Finance PLC (MBSL) is a well-established Financial Institution and a subsidiary of Bank of Ceylon. We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented individual to join our team for the following post.

Job Location: Head Office, Colombo 03

Key Responsibilities:
• Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related tasks as per stipulated guidelines.
• Statutory Compliance: Manage all statutory payments and documents in a systematic manner.
• Benefits Management: Prepare and provide salary confirmation letters, EPF/ETF documents, and other relevant communications.
• Compliance and Disbursement: Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to benefits (Minimum wage, Gratuity, EPF, ETF, etc.) and disburse other payments related to payroll (OT, Travel reimbursements).
• Data Management: Update relevant databases and prepare Terminal benefits information for internal/external parties.
• Reporting and Communication: Prepare accurate reports related to payroll and other staff payments and submit them to stakeholders.
• Confidential Information: Work effectively with sensitive and confidential information.

Requirements:
• Education: GCE (A/L) Examination with a minimum of 3 passes. Part qualification in any HR related professional qualification is preferred.
• Skills & Experience: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced formulas and functions), experience in managing payroll-related payments (EPF/ETF/APIT/Gratuity), and a minimum of 4 years of experience in a corporate culture environment in a similar capacity.
• Additional Assets: Ability to work independently and methodically.
• Age: Below 35 years
