Executive – Business Development & Analysis

BE A MEMBER IN A WINNING TEAM OF A GLOBAL LEADER IN EARTH MOVING AND POWER INDUSTRY UML Heavy Equipment Ltd., is a fully owned subsidiary of United Motors Lanka PLC, the distributor for JCB brand for both Sri Lanka and Maldives, which include Excavators, Compactors, Wheel Loaders, Telescopic Handlers, Skid Steer Loaders, Super Loaders and Generators. This role involves providing critical support to the DCEO and, at times, the HODs in making informed decisions to achieve annual budget goals. This is achieved through comprehensive macro and micro-level PESTLE analysis, as well as industry, market, and financial analysis. The position will also involve delivering timely intelligence via daily, weekly, and monthly reports. The scope of responsibility covers Sri Lanka, Maldives, and any new international or local markets targeted for expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct reporting to the DCEO.
• Generate various analytical reports to the top management.
• Develop relationships with key external (Government/Private) parties.
• Meeting customers, suppliers, and develop market intelligence.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree in Statistics/Mathematics from a recognized university in Sri Lanka or equivalent.
• Good secondary education with a minimum of three passes at the G.C.E. A/L Examination in Mathematics.
• Good command of English/Sinhala Languages (Tamil would be an added advantage).
• Expert in MS Excel and MS Office packages, experience in working in a fully computerized environment.
• Good experience in analyzing data and subsequently generating projections, trends, and reports.
• Good presentation skills of various analytics, projections, predictions.
• Experience in working with various government and private parties.
• Business development experience, winning/handling large projects, preferably foreign ones.
• 2-3 years’ experience in an organization in a similar role.
• Possess a valid driving/riding license, must be able to ride a Motor Cycle.
• Excellent team player, problem solver and self-motivated personality.
• Age around 25 years, but not limited to.
