Role Title: ET Support Engineer
Department: Engineering
Overview
The ET Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to employees, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of IT systems, hardware, and enterprise services. This role involves troubleshooting, managing IT assets, and supporting staff in both local and remote locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach to IT support.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain IT hardware, networks, and enterprise systems.
• Install, configure, and support Windows, Linux, and Mac systems.
• Provide Level 1 and some Level 2 support via service desk tickets, remote assistance, phone, and in-person interactions.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, including configurations, inventories, and procedures.
• Manage biometric access control systems and related hardware.
• Handle vendor management, procurement, and IT asset lifecycle.
• Support staff with onboarding, IT training, and technical troubleshooting.
• Ensure helpdesk tickets are managed effectively and IT processes are kept up to date.
• Facilitate onboarding/offboarding processes, access management, and compliance with security standards.
• Provide onsite support in the Perth office and remote support for global teams.
• Participate in an on-call support roster as required.
Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in IT support, systems, and infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networks, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Entra.
• Experience with EDR solutions, virtualization, and enterprise firewalling is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and train staff.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Tertiary qualification in IT or Business preferred.
• Willingness to work additional hours or be on standby when required.
