Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Control Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable (AR), credit control, and debt recovery for our global operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to credit risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the accounts receivable (AR) process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
Conduct credit assessments on new and existing customers, establishing credit limits based on financial analysis.
Monitor customer accounts to identify potential risks and take proactive measures to minimize bad debt.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal sales teams to ensure payment collection effectively.
Implement and enforce company credit control policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and finance & operations, to align credit management strategies with business goals.
Prepare and present credit reports and AR summaries to senior management.
Follow up on overdue invoices and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary.
Handle disputes and discrepancies in invoicing and payments professionally.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or financial risk management.
Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and debt recovery strategies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Experience working in a global finance environment is an added advantage.
