About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Accountant (Chartered or equivalent) who thrives in a dynamic, high-pressure environment to join our rapidly growing global business. This role focuses on supporting internal finance functions across diverse verticals, including Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Private Funds and Digital Assets, while assisting the company in communicating effectively with external stakeholders.
Reporting directly to the Group Finance Manager, you will contribute to the finance team’s efforts within an expanding group of companies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Management Support: Assist in preparing financial reports, supporting internal audits, and maintaining internal controls over operations and transactions.
• Strategic Planning Assistance: Provide accurate financial data and analysis to support management in business development, budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance reporting.
• Day-to-Day Invoicing and Payments: Processing and documentation of income and expenses to facilitate smooth financial operations.
• Communication Support: Provide data and information to enable effective communication with external stakeholders such as banks, financial institutions, auditors, and regulators.
• Cash Flow & Capital Management Support: Assist in monitoring banking activities and provide data to support adequate cash flow and capital resource management to mitigate risk.
• Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and cash flow projections. Assist in preparing internal reports to support strategic decision-making by senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Compliance Collaboration: Work closely with the compliance team by providing data and support for reports, business updates, risk assessments, and Board meeting documentation.
• Treasury Management Assistance: Support in the management of company funds through fixed income and other investment instruments by providing necessary financial data and insights.
Requirements:
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in Finance / Accounting, preferably within a financial services company, contributing to internal financial support across different jurisdictions and regulatory requirements.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel modelling and reporting, and exposure to the tracking of investment portfolios and performance.
Qualifications:
• Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting. A Master’s degree or MBA in Finance is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of IFRS Accounting standards.
• Qualified Accountant: ACA / CPA / ACCA qualified and active member.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience with accounting for Funds or other investment vehicles is highly desirable.
