INTERNSHIP – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Position Overview:

We are seeking an intern aiming to build a career in business development for our Colombo, Sri Lanka office.

If you are an undergraduate in the field of business administration, marketing, or a related field, you are welcome to apply for this opportunity.

Our internship will familiarize you with the business development process while exposing you to our day-to-day operations.

Upon completion of the six-month program, future placements within the company will be considered based on performance and business needs.

Person Specifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a strong secondary education with a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

The ability to work five days a week and two alternate Sundays per month is required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

• Conduct market research to identify potential clients (local & international) and industry trends.

• Support the business development/ marketing team in creating proposals and presentations for potential clients.

• Coordinate and schedule meetings with potential clients and partners.

• Maintain and update the client database/ sales funnel with accurate and current information.

• Assist in the preparation and distribution of business development reports and analytics.

• Provide administrative support to the business development team, including managing email correspondence and maintaining records.

• Support with ad-hoc tasks as required by the business development team.

Qualifications:

• Final year undergraduates in business administration, marketing, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Fluent in both written and spoken English.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
