Rockland Distilleries (Pvt) Ltd, established in 1924, is a fourth-generation family-owned business based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. As the second-largest distillery in the country, Rockland is recognized for producing premium brands of spirits. The company manufactures and distributes a wide range of local and imported spirits and fine wines through its own distribution network, making it one of the most robust distributors in Sri Lanka. Rockland is renowned for its integrity, professionalism, and strong business practices.

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team. As a Business Development Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth for Rockland Distilleries within the hospitality, restaurant, and catering (HORECA) sector. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and maximizing sales revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new HORECA sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their needs.
• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to penetrate target markets.

Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with HORECA clients, including owners, managers, and bartenders.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
• Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Sales Presentations:
• Develop compelling sales presentations to showcase Rockland Distilleries’ products and value proposition.
• Deliver effective presentations to HORECA clients, highlighting the benefits of our products and services.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
• Accurately forecast sales volumes and revenue within the assigned territory.
• Prepare regular sales reports and provide insights into market trends and competitor activities.

Event Marketing and Promotions:
• Coordinate and participate in industry events, trade shows, and product launches.
• Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to increase brand visibility and drive sales within the HORECA sector.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in HORECA sales, preferably in the alcoholic beverages industry.
• Strong understanding of the HORECA market and sales cycles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Results-oriented and driven to achieve sales targets.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
