Responsibilities

We are hiring for an Associate – Sustainability Assurance & Advisory Services to join The Sustainable Future Group (SFG) in Colombo.

You will play a critical role in our assurance services, primarily conducting verifications of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) and other environmental and sustainability metrics against international standards. This includes but not limited to:
• Verifying GHG emissions under ISO 14064-1 (organizations), ISO 14064-2 (projects), and ISO 14067 (products).
• Supporting verification processes for carbon neutrality frameworks to issue carbon neutrality certificates.
• Assessing environmental metrics and frameworks for water, waste, and plastics in the broader sustainability space.
• Assisting with the implementation and compliance of SFG document and management system against the ISO/IEC 17029 standard
• Assisting to develop new accreditation standards and sustainability-focused verticals, including ESG and sustainability reporting verifications.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless verification processes.

Training will be provided where necessary to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related field
• 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated expertise in GHG assessments or verification against ISO 14064-1 and/or ISO 14067/LCA
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of ISO 17029 and ESG reporting standards is an added advantage
