Job description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Manager – Learning and Development to join our Human Resources team. This role is crucial in fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within IIT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing effective learning and development programs that align with the institute’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
• Identify training and development needs through job analysis, appraisals, and regular consultations with department heads.
• Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of our academic and non-academic staff.
• Manage and monitor the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, assessments, and feedback.
• Collaborate with external training providers and consultants to deliver specialized training programs.
• Lead initiatives to promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the institute.
• Support the HR team in talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement activities.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating them into IIT’s training strategies.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development, preferably within the education or corporate sector.
• Proven track record in designing and delivering effective training programs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training tools.
