We are looking for someone who comes with strong marketing experience to join us as an Assistant Manager, Business Development (OR Supply) with B. Braun Sri Lanka! In this role, you will be responsible to increase the market share and introduce new products to the market for our OR Supply business.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing
• Build up strong personal relationship promoting and demonstrating products including regular visits to doctor fraternity, inside operation theatres and Consultant Chambers in both government and private sector hospitals in addition to the above meeting the key purchasing contacts, OT changes in mentioned hospitals island wide will be a key responsibility.
• Planning, organizing and coordinating clinical meetings/trainings programs and doctors academic sessions in order to develop awareness of ORS products.
• Responsible for enhance & develop the ORS Division by implementing the agreed strategies, and as a front liner in the market, shall provide timely market information to his/her superiors.
• Collect, compile, verify, and analyze data on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the product/service. Collect, compile, verify, and analyze data on product performance and customer feedback to identify product/service features that need to be changed to meet customer needs. Addressing & attending product complains immediately & bringing to the superiors notice and lodging complains to COE for product testing & evaluation. Feedback of the evaluation to the KOL asap.
• Maintain records of sales volume, revenues, and advertising costs and analyze them against forecasts to identify areas where the sales performance of the product/service needs to be improved.
• Develop knowledge of the organization’s products, services, and customers by working closely with more experienced brand/product managers.
• Lead and guide the distributor’s sales team who is responsible for ORS Division as an when needed.
• Follow and adhere to the weekly itinerary plan
Customer education
• Implement the activities which was agreed and instructed by the superior. But preliminary information need be submitted according to the business plans / Distribution Model both in Government and private sector.
Market Information

• Develop knowledge of the organization’s products, services, and customers by working closely with more experienced product managers.
• Update and capture all marketing activities and opportunities in Salesforces promptly
• Should be acknowledged, documented, and communicated quality complaints to the RA department
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor Degree with min. of 3 years marketing experience in related industry
• Basic knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in a professional field
• Strong and solid marketing experience in life sciences industry
• Have experience and network with healthcare professionals
• Good command of English in both written and verbal communication as this role is required to work with local and regional team
