Layup is casting its vote for an Assistant Manager – Business Development who can lead our SaaS-based LMS campaign like a presidential candidate with a winning manifesto! If you’ve got 2-3 years of experience in corporate sales and marketing—preferably in IT—and can rally a crowd with your degree in marketing or CIM/SLIM qualifications, you might just sweep the polls. Bonus points if you’re fluent in HR and training functions and can handle SaaS like you’re prepping for a debate! Your Campaign Strategy (Key Responsibilities)
• Track Down the Big Fish (Prospect Identification) : Identify and engage with high-value leads for Layup’s Enterprise portfolio, leaving no stone unturned.
• Convert Targets (Sales Process & Client Acquisition) : Establish strong relationships and guide prospects through the sales process. Work closely with pre-sales to secure votes – we mean, customers.
• Stay Ahead of the Race (Industry Research & Feedback) : Keep up with market trends, competitors, and customer needs. Your insights will help us stay at the top of our game.
• Engage & Expand (Upselling & Cross-Selling) : After the first win, don’t stop. Upsell and cross-sell our services, understanding client pain points and offering solutions.
• Performance & Reporting (Sales Targets) : Keep a close eye on your performance and ensure targets are met. Reporting back regularly is key – transparency is crucial, after all.

The Qualities of Our Ideal Leader
• 3 years in corporate sales (experience in IT is a plus).
• A degree in marketing or CIM/SLIM qualifications.
• Understanding of SaaS, HR, and training functions. Bonus points if you’ve got corporate HR networks.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills. You’ll need to get through to the big players.
• A knack for managing complex sales cycles, with multiple stakeholders.
• Results-driven. If targets are a hill, you’ll take it.
• Analytical skills to identify customer pain points and craft precise solutions.
• CRM and sales tools – you’ll need them locked and loaded.
