We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and energetic individual to join us as an Accountant – Reporting for Cargills (Ceylon) PLC to spearhead its accelerated investment drive across Sri Lanka.

Job Role:
• Preparation of the Group’s Consolidated financial statements for both internal and external purposes, inducing detailed financial reports.
• Preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end consolidated financial statements in accordance with SUFRS and reporting in the appropriate format to the Management.
• Assist in creating and developing efficiencies within the consolidation process.
• Provide support for the quarterly earnings release process.
• Manage, oversee and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual account closing timelines, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Preparation of detailed financial reports and presentations for Executive leadership and Board Members.
• Preparation and submission of analytical reviews of monthly, quarterly and annual financials for the Management.
• Liaise with External Auditors on quarterly reviews and year-end audit.
• Coordinate with the finance teams of multiple business units to align accounting policies and procedures for key areas to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Stay informed and updated of the changes in accounting regulations and best practices, applying updates to internal processes and documentation.
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations (SUFRS and any other regulations).
• Participate in preparation of feasibility reports for special projects as and when they may arise.

Candidate Requirements:
• Passionate about Sri Lanka; you’re committed to making a positive impact for our Country and its people.
• Fully qualified or a passed finalist in ICASL/ACCA and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting from a recognized University.
• Minimum 02-05 years experience in a similar capacity.
• Age below 30 years.
• Should have good analytical, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision to achieve deadlines.
• Excellent knowledge in MS Office.
