Accountant – Accounts Receivable

Primary Job Role

This role involves managing the entire invoicing process, from invoice creation to ensuring proper revenue recognition and sales finalization. The incumbent will be responsible for handling accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing audit activities for the Europe & USA regions.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
• Finalize sales and ensure accurate revenue recording in the system.
• Follow up on accounts receivable with customers to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain and review accounts receivable reports for month-end closure.
• Assist with external audits for Europe & USA regions and provide required information.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany accounts and balances.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax payments and filings.
• Support tax audits by providing necessary information and ensuring compliance.
• Manage cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient funds are available.
• Oversee bank accounts for foreign entities and related financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting deadlines and financial calendars.
• Maintain process maps and support internal and external audits.
• Administer and manage expense accounts and reimbursements.

Experience
• Should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Qualifications
• Degree or professional qualification in finance (CIMA, ACCA, ICASL) or a similar qualification.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Good knowledge of SLFRS & SLAS accounting standards.
• Knowledge of InforM3 is a plus.
