Accountant

Job description
We are looking to hire an Accountant for one of the leading physiotherapy centre in Colombo.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Fully / Part qualified in CIMA, ACCA, CA would be an added advantage.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Prior experience in healthcare or related industry is a plus.
• CPA or pursuing CPA certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations to management for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support decision-making processes.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Support external audits and examinations as needed.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
