Billing and Accounts Receivable Officer

Job description
Are you detail-oriented with a passion for numbers and customer service? 5GN Sri Lanka is looking for a Billing & Account Receivable Officer to join our dynamic finance team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate billing, and providing top-notch service to our clients.

Responsibilities
• Handle and record receipts and update the AR report daily.
• Proven experience in credit control process
• Oversee accounts receivable, including chasing debtors and updating GST and payment systems.
• Investigate and resolve billing disputes; escalate unresolved debts as needed.
• Perform account reconciliation for various payment platforms like PayPal, Stripe, and Intergrid.
• Set up and manage Direct Debit payments, ensuring accuracy.
• Assist with billing runs, overages billing, and updating account details as required.
• Serve as the first point of contact in the AR department, handling customer queries.
• Monitor and resolve errors in Wise-Sync and other billing systems.
• Update the debtors report weekly and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with billing imports and manage the financial approvals board

Qualifications
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related finance role.
• Completed or currently pursuing a degree in Finance, or holding full/partial professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in billing systems such as WHMCS, Hostbill, Wise-Pay, and others.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle disputes and resolve issues.
