We are looking for an Assistant Manager- Projects for one of our clients in Australia to work remotely in assessing property inspections, document defects, liaise with project managers, draft tender documents, prepare contracts, review progress, and support project delivery
The Job:
• Finalize the scope of work of projects by assessing property inspection details provided by onshore project managers.
• Detailed documentation of defects inspected by onshore project managers during site visits.
• Liaise with onshore project managers in finalizing the onboarding, execution and completion of projects.
• Draf tender documentation entailing a detailed scope of work to invite bids from prospective contractors.
• Perform a comparison of tender submissions received from contractors and identify the most suitable contractor for the project.
• Prepare a detailed recommendation report analyzing contractor submissions including cost analysis and propose the selection of the most suitable contractor.
• Prepare contracts for construction between the client and contractor for execution.
• Review & assess monthly progress claims submitted by contractors and issue progress certificates based on site inspection details provided by onshore project managers.
• Prepare of detailed cost report consisting of all costs attributed for respective projects and share with client on regular basis.
• Prepare and issue of certification of practical completion after thorough assessment of the contractor’s final work to confirm project fulfillment.
• Manage all tasks related to individual projects on web based project management tool (Uniphi system)
• Assist in the day to day running of projects as instructed by the senior project managers including running communications
• Assist with the effective delivery of projects by providing administrative and technical support
• Meet work deadlines outlined by the senior project manager.
• Regular interaction with clients via email, chat and video
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Structural Engineer)
• Minimum 5 years of work experience and proven track record working as a structural engineer or in a similar capacity
• Willingness to work during Australian shift hours
• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast paced environment and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Good attention to detail with excellent skills with Microsoft office programs such as word & excel
• Flexibility to respond to urgent client changes or requests.
