Position Overview:
As an Accountant specializing in shipping and logistics at ICCL Venture, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to our shipping operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting our financial planning and analysis efforts. This role requires a strong understanding of the shipping industry and financial practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process and record financial transactions related to shipping operations, including freight charges, customs duties, and vendor payments.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements specific to shipping and logistics, including cost of goods sold, inventory management, and transportation expenses.
• Perform regular reconciliations of shipping-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for shipping and logistics expenses.
• Monitor and manage financial aspects of shipping contracts and agreements.
• Support the billing and invoicing processes for shipping services, ensuring accuracy and timely collection of payments.
• Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to understand financial impacts and provide insights for cost management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, as well as industry-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 05-06 years of accounting experience, preferably in the shipping, logistics, or transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices as they relate to shipping and logistics.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or industry-specific systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of shipping and logistics financial metrics and cost structures.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
