System Administrator

Responsibilities
• Installing and configuring computer systems, including hardware and software components.
• Managing Windows environment.
• Supporting, monitoring and housekeeping tasks of QB database and working with power BI tools.
• Monitoring system performance to ensure that it runs efficiently and effectively.
• Maintaining data security by monitoring user activity on the network for signs of unauthorized access or activity.
• Providing technical support to computer users who have problems using software applications or operating systems.
• Managing data backups to ensure that data is not lost in case of a system failure.
• Installing new servers and upgrading existing servers as needed to support growing workloads.
• Running virus scans to detect and remove malware from infected systems.
• Installing new software and patches to ensure that systems are protected from cyber-attacks.
• Conducting disaster recovery operations and maintaining disaster site servers for uninterrupted data replication.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / IT or a related discipline.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in System Administration / Network Administration or related field.
• Hands on exposure in working with Microsoft Windows Server / Linux, Client Operating Systems, Network Protocols, Firewalls, Switches and Routers.
• Sound knowledge in computer systems from an end-user perspective.
• Previous knowledge about implementation and migration of ERP will be added advantage.
• Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other network protocols and technologies.
• Knowledge in computer hardware, network operations and maintenance.
• Fluency in both written and verbal English is a must.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
