Duties And Responsibilities
• Maintain our infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Terraform (Infrastructure-as-Code).
• Build a modern, automated, and cloud-native continuous delivery pipeline.
• Implement and enhance tools for monitoring, observability, and metrics gathering to monitor the DevOps infrastructure.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Provide technical guidance and support to different teams related to cloud infrastructure and services.
• Explore and implement new technologies to handle massively scaled data volumes.
• Introduce best practices for CI/CD, testing workflows, release automation, and deployments in the release cycle.
• Ensure DevOps security is built into every part of the DevOps lifecycle, including inception, design, build, test, release, support, and maintenance.
• Monitor processes during the entire lifecycle for adherence and update or create new processes for improvement and minimizing waste.
Qualifications And Experience
• Have in-depth practical experience working on GCP (VPC networking and security, IAM, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Google Kubernetes Engine, Dataflow, BigQuery)—GCP Cloud Architect certification would be highly advantageous.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code is a must, preferably Terraform.
• Applied knowledge of working with highly available, distributed systems, and services in a cloud environment.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, and Go.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and web technologies: HTTP/HTTPS, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, etc.
• Experience with container management and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (GKE).
• Strong background in Linux/Unix/Windows administration.
• Knowledge in managing databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other database systems, and familiarity with Big Data technologies like BigQuery.
• Experience with data processing pipelines, particularly using Google Dataflow, Apache Beam, or similar technologies.
• Experience in handling massively scaled data volumes.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and oral.
• Understands the importance of documentation.
