Job description
We are looking to hire a “Housekeeping Manager/ Assistant Manager” for a client company in Colombo.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Manager Housekeeping preferably in the Hotel industry.
• Between 30-45 years of age.
• Degree/Diploma or relevant professional qualification from a recognized institution.
• Should be able to work extended hours in a demanding environment.
• Must be self-motivated and should have a positive attitude.
• Must have knowledge about safety guidelines and chemicals.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the daily operations of housekeeping, pest control, and horticulture, ensuring the mall is cleaned and maintained to high standards.
• Assigns and guides staff conducts inspections, and holds them accountable for corrective actions.
• Manages employee satisfaction, and adherence to budget, and implements departmental procedures and policies.
• Oversees staff scheduling, performance appraisals, and training.
• Controls inventory, handles equipment maintenance, and monitors outsourced services.
• Responds to management requests and tenant/customer complaints, while ensuring compliance with all regulations and promoting teamwork and employee satisfaction within the department.
• Ensure compliance with fleet regulations, all environmental policies (HESS-MS), public health and departmental policies and procedures, and other applicable internal, external, and governmental regulations.
